The Walmart Beauty Box is a $5 beauty subscription service. They advertise it as being free but you do have to pay a five dollar shipping fee. It ships seasonally (4X a year) instead of every month. In my opinion, that is a great deal to discover and try out new, affordable beauty products! I am really impressed with the amount of items I received in this box. It seems to be almost twice as much as what normally comes.

Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner is more natural. It is made with essential oils and is sulfate and paraben free. I always love trying more natural products and I have recently jumped on the essential oil bandwagon so I was really excited to try this. I am sad to say that I didn’t love it. I hate foil samples, to begin with. You only get one or two uses out of them and that is never enough to know if you like something. But I didn’t care for the scent. I also slept with an oil mask in my hair the night before and it was not washed out completely with these. My hair still felt pretty gross and oily after getting out of the shower.

Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Complete Care Anti-Dandruff Shampoo: I have used shampoo from this brand before and have liked it. As predicted, I enjoyed this as well. And It is quite inexpensive!

John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray: I don’t really care for the feeling of any kind of product that provides and type of hold in my hair. It just feels really sticky and dirty and gross to me, so I am avoiding this one… But it does smell really nice! … Like coconuts and the beach!

Jargons Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer, Medium to Tan : I have used this before (not medium to tan. I am fair so I bought the light to medium) and liked it well enough. If you are not careful it can turn your skin pretty orange. One section of the 3-day foil packets was only enough for my legs and half an arm (I am a small human: 5’1 and 110 Ibs).

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser. I’m not a fan of this stuff. It is really perfumey and I have started to notice that heavily perfumed things bother my skin a bit. This claims to not over-dry the skin… My skin felt over-dried after using it. It doesn’t really seem to do anything else that it claims to either.

NIVEA Soft Moisturizing Creme It smells like a lotion. It looks like a lotion. It feels like a lotion. So it must be…    It works well and is light weight. It might be a little too fragrant for some. The scent is a mix between baby wipes and floral perfume. I don’t feel like this product is life changing but it’s nice.

Aveeno Active Naturals Protect + Hydrate Broad Spectrum Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 30 This is light weight and absorbs quickly. It has a bit more fragrance than a regular sunscreen. It smells floral mixed with a bit of good, old fashion sunscreen scent.

Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara Regular, Black If you are looking for big, long, full lashes this is defiantly not for you. But if you are looking for soft extra natural lashes this one could work for you. I could hardly see a difference in my lashes after I applied this.

One Direction You & I Eau de Parfum It smells exactly how it is described… Fruity, floral and sweet. Lovely for the summer time.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick I received the color “HD Gladiolus”. It is a really pretty bright red. It can be applied to be fully opaque or dab it on for a sheer wash of color. It is also very creamy and moisturizing and smells like candy!

Even though I didn’t love a lot of the things that came this time around I am really happy I was able to try the products and for only $5! I think it’s a pretty great deal!

What did you get in your Beauty Box this quarter? Have you ever used any products that I received? How did you like them? Please Share in the comments!

Lemongrass Spa’s “Pomegranate Body Polish” | Review

Winter is upon us. Often along with the beautiful, snowy scenes, and cozy clothes, we get dry skin. Exfoliating and moisturizing are two things that I forget to do very easily. But thank goodness there are products out there that can do both at the same time. I’ve just tried Lemongrass Spa’s Pomegranate Body Polish and was blown away by how well it can multi-task…

Four Months at IIN

Since graduating high school in 2014 I haven’t done much to further my education. Instead, I took the time to focus on my health and to work on healing. Its been almost four years since I finished school, so it feels like a good time to dip my toes back into the school scene. I decided to enroll in IIN or the Institute for Integrative Nutrition…
