I have the type of hair that would knot up into a rat’s nest even if I was in a straight jacket. My hair could not survive without a good detangler.
This Smoothing Detangling Spray made by Babo Botanicals was the first natural, nontoxic detangler I decided to try. I was so excited to try this product. Babo Botanicals originated near me and who doesn’t love to support local businesses! All of their products have pretty good reviews on their website.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t as blown away as I’d hoped to be. My hair is a tangled mess 24/7 so I need some pretty strong detangler! This spray isn’t so powerful. If I let it sit in my hair for a few minutes before brushing it worked a little better, but not much. If not for my awesome Tangle Teezer, brushing would be a lot more painful.
On the positive side, Babo’s Detangling Spray smells incredible! It has a very sweet berry scent without being artificial or sicky sweet.
The ingredients are all great! On EWG’s Skin Deep Database it comes out an overall toxicity level of 1. Here is the detailed page if you are interested.
I would recommend this spray to someone who only needs a little bit of help getting a brush through their hair. Not to someone like me with a frizzy, forest head.
