I have been enjoying Young Living products for almost a year, and I have not been disappointed with a single item of theirs. One of my recent purchases has moved me forward in my journey to detox my beauty and personal care products. This is the first “clean” toothpaste I have ever tried and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner!

I have never been so happy with the results of a toothpaste! My teeth feel very clean after using it. The flavor is a nice mint with a cinnamon hint in it. It’s not strong or overpowering, though. Some of the conventional, drugstore toothpaste have very strong flavors and they made my eyes water. This Thieves toothpaste doesn’t do that. I’ve also noticed that eating soon after brushing my teeth does not make the food taste funny, or sour. My teeth have whitened a few shades as well! And it’s not even marketed to do that! In the past, whenever I would buy toothpaste, I would always go for the whitening ones. They never did a thing. This toothpaste is the first one that has ever made a noticeable difference.

What’s in it?

“Baking soda, deionized water, vegetable glycerine, xanthan gum, ionic trace minerals, thymol, eugenol, steviocide (Stevia rebaudiana), the essential oils of wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbent), peppermint (Menthe piperita), and the blend of Thieves [clove (Syzygium aromatic), lemon (Citrus lemon), cinnamon (Cinnamomum serum), eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiate), and rosemary (Rosmarinus officials)].” -Young Living site

The baking soda does cause it to be a little bit saltier than what I was used to. It also has a slight grit to it.

There are no chemicals, like fluoride, which has recently been labeled a dangerous substance.

All of the essential oils are of Young Living’s Therapeutic Grade. They farm nearly all of their plants themselves. Everything they use has been grown organically or in the wild. They also distil and bottle everything themselves and have rigorous testing done by both their own employees and external companies to be sure that only the highest quality products are going out to their customers.

Young Living also makes several other kinds of toothpaste. I am very excited to try those as well!

I have gone through a couple of wheels of the Thieves Floss. I have been pretty happy with it. It does its job well. From what I can see on the YL website there are no other ingredients than the floss and essential oils. In the past, I’ve found that regular floss is really flavored and sweet, with lots of “beneficial” chemicals added to it. I am very happy with this chemical-less floss to go along with my chemical-less toothpaste.

I really recommend both of these products! If you are interested in purchasing them I would love it if you would use my referral code (2949525) when creating your account. All you have to do is check the box that says you were referred by a member on the bottom right-hand side of the sign-up page. Then copy and paste my number into the boxes provided. (I will be able to receive a small commission from your purchases. If you don’t feel comfortable with that, that’s okay too. I still recommend the toothpaste and floss, or anything else from YL for that matter!)

Have you tried any non-toxic toothpaste? What are your favorites? Please share your stories in the comments!

Eyeshadow is a beautiful addition to any makeup look whether you go for neutral shades or bright colors. Or maybe you prefer cream shadows over powder. For many of us, no matter the amount of effort we put into blending our beautiful pigments, it always creases. Every time we close our eyes the is a nice thick band of clumpy eyeshadow in the crease of out eyelid. Yum. My current go-to product, to avoid that clumpy issue, is Tarte’s Colored Clay CC Eye Primer Stick…
